We Made it to Yellowknife!!

Hey family, friends, and other lovely humans of the internet following our adventure to Fort Providence, Northwest Territories! Our day began (not-so) bright and early this morning, at 4:30 AM. With lots of coffee, goodbyes and traveling, we arrived at Pearson International Airport just in time for our 7:00 AM flight to the Calgary Airport! Catching up on sleep (Jasmine) and movies (Christine) on the flight, both of us were very eager to arrive in the Prairies, bringing us one step closer to our destination!

After a short layover, we said goodbye to Calgary and hello to Yellowknife! A little turbulence fortunately didn't stop us and soon enough we arrived in our home for the night, Narwal B&B. We were warmly greeted by Cathy (the owner), her grandson and their two adorable dogs, Apple and Safyra (we intend to take them for a walk tomorrow and explore Yellowknife).

Tomorrow afternoon, we head to Fort Providence, about a 4 hour drive from Yellowknife. As Queen's Health Outreach Peer Educators, we will be teaching health curriculum and facilitating outreach events in the Deh Gah School (more details later!) After spending the past seven months preparing lessons, and working with our amazing Program Directors and Peer Educators, everything is finally happening and we couldn't be more excited!
